1. Introduction

2. Scope
This policy applies to all employees of Geviton Enterprises Ltd, including full-time, part-time, contract, and temporary staff, across all departments and locations.
3. Employment Principles

3.3 Code of Conduct
Employees are expected to act with integrity, professionalism, and in alignment with Geviton’s values. Misconduct, including harassment, fraud, or insubordination, may lead to disciplinary action.
4. Employment Types and Conditions
4.1 Types of Employment

Permanent Employment: Full-time roles with ongoing responsibilities.

Contractual Employment: Fixed-term roles based on project or seasonal needs.

Internships and Graduate Trainees: Learning-based engagements for early-career professionals.
4.2 Working Hours

The standard workweek is 40 hours (Monday to Friday).

Overtime must be pre-approved by a supervisor and will be compensated according to applicable laws.
4.3 Probation Period
New employees are subject to a probation period of 3 months, during which performance and fit will be assessed. Successful completion leads to confirmation of employment.
5. Compensation and Benefits
5.1 Salary
Geviton offers competitive compensation aligned with market standards and internal equity. Salary reviews are conducted annually based on performance, role changes, or business conditions.
5.2 Leave Entitlements
Employees are entitled to the following:

6. Performance Management
6.1 Appraisals
Performance evaluations occur once a year and are based on individual goals, team contributions, and behavior aligned with Geviton’s values.
6.2 Promotions
Promotions are based on performance, experience, and readiness to take on greater responsibility. All decisions are reviewed by management.
7. Separation of Employment
7.1 Resignation
Employees are required to give at least 30 days' notice. All company property must be returned, and an exit interview conducted.
7.2 Termination
Termination may occur due to performance issues, misconduct, redundancy, or contract completion. It must follow due process, including proper documentation and final settlement.
7.3 Final Dues
Upon exit, the HR and Finance departments will process salary, accrued leave, and any other dues within 30 days.
8. Compliance and Review
8.1 Legal Compliance
This policy aligns with Kenya’s Employment Act and relevant labor laws. Any updates to national legislation will be reflected in timely policy reviews.
8.2 Review and Amendments
The policy will be reviewed annually or as necessary. Updates must be approved by senior management and communicated to all employees.
