CSR Policy

1. Introduction

Geviton Enterprises Ltd is committed to responsible corporate citizenship that aligns with our core values of sustainability, innovation, and community empowerment. This CSR Policy outlines how we integrate social, environmental, and ethical considerations into our business operations and stakeholder interactions to create long-term shared value.

2. Scope

This policy applies to all Geviton departments, employees, contractors, suppliers, and business partners. It covers activities in all locations where Geviton operates, and extends to our products, services, and community engagements.

3. CSR Objectives

  • Contribute positively to the communities where we operate

  • Promote sustainable and ethical business practices

  • Minimize environmental impact across our product lifecycle

  • Support inclusive development through education, technology, and local employment

  • Foster transparency and accountability in all CSR initiatives

4. Focus Areas

4.1 Education and Skills Development

  • Support STEM education and digital literacy programs for underserved communities

  • Offer internships, apprenticeships, and mentorship programs to empower youth

  • Partner with schools, universities, and vocational institutions to promote learning and innovation

4.2 Environmental Sustainability

  • Implement green practices across design, manufacturing, and logistics

  • Promote battery repurposing, clean energy solutions, and waste reduction

  • Partner with suppliers who adhere to sustainable sourcing and packaging

4.3 Community Engagement

  • Contribute to local development through infrastructure support, tech hubs, or training centers

  • Encourage employee volunteerism through paid service days and community projects

  • Support emergency relief efforts during natural disasters or crises

4.4 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

  • Promote inclusive hiring practices and equal opportunity for all

  • Support women and marginalized groups in technology and manufacturing careers

  • Ensure a workplace free from discrimination and harassment

5. Stakeholder Engagement

Geviton recognizes the importance of listening to and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including:

We regularly engage stakeholders through feedback sessions, community forums, and collaborative projects to ensure our CSR efforts are responsive and effective.

6. Governance and Implementation

6.1 CSR Committee

A cross-functional CSR Committee shall be responsible for:

  • Identifying CSR priorities and initiatives

  • Approving CSR budgets and partnerships

  • Monitoring and evaluating project outcomes

  • Reporting progress to the Board of Directors and stakeholders

6.2 Employee Participation

Employees are encouraged to:

  • Volunteer for approved community programs

  • Contribute ideas for social impact projects

  • Serve as CSR champions within their teams

7. Monitoring and Reporting

  • All CSR activities will be tracked and measured against clear objectives and KPIs

  • Annual CSR reports will be prepared and shared with stakeholders

  • Impact assessments will be conducted for major initiatives

  • CSR data may be included in ESG and sustainability disclosures

All CSR initiatives must comply with applicable Kenyan laws, international labor and environmental standards, and internal policies, including:

  • The Employment Act of Kenya

  • The Environmental Management and Co-ordination Act (EMCA)

  • The Ethics and Integrity Policy

  • The Procurement Policy (for ethical sourcing)

9. Policy Review and Amendments

This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as needed to reflect evolving business goals, community needs, and regulatory requirements. Changes must be approved by the Board of Directors.
